REGISTRATION AND PERMITTING
The following vehicles are considered to be OHVs and must be registered:
- All-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
- Off-highway motorcycles (OHMs)
- Recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs, side-by-sides)
- Snowmobiles
The following vehicles are not required to be registered as OHVs:
- Motorcycles registered for use on public streets
- Vehicles used strictly for agriculture
- Vehicles used strictly on private land
DECAL DISPLAY
Before affixing the decal make sure that the area is clean, dry and warm to the touch.
Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle (ROV)
On the left front quarter panel.
Snowmobiles
Left quadrant of the metal frame visible to the rear.
Motorcycle
Left fork leg, either horizontal or vertical, visible from the left.
All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV)
Left rear quadrant on permanent plastic fender panel or metal frame members visible to outside inspection.
